At Almond Care Providers, we understand that choosing the right care provider is a big decision. Below, we've answered some of the most common questions from families, professionals, and prospective staff.

General Questions

We provide supported living services for children, young people, and adults with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs. Our adult services are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), and our children’s services are registered with Ofsted.
Yes. All of our homes have 24/7 staffing, including overnight support, tailored to individual care plans and risk assessments.
We operate 11 supported living homes across Croydon, Bromley, and West Wickham, all designed to promote safety, independence, and community integration.

Referrals & Placements

Referrals are typically made by local authorities, NHS commissioners, social workers, or care coordinators. We also welcome enquiries from families or advocates.
All placements are usually funded by the local authority, NHS, or through joint funding arrangements. We currently work with Croydon, Bromley, Wandsworth, and NHS South East London, among others.
We can respond quickly to urgent or step-down placements. However, we prioritise safe transitions and detailed assessments to ensure long-term stability.
Yes, in some cases. We assess emergency placements based on needs, risk, and available resources to ensure we can deliver safe and appropriate care.

For Families

Yes. All service users have their own private bedrooms. We encourage personalisation of their space to help them feel at home.
Absolutely. We actively encourage family contact and will work with you to arrange regular visits, virtual check-ins, and involvement in care planning.
Each home offers tailored activities based on individual interests and goals, including community access, life skills sessions, group events, and more.
We help individuals develop essential skills such as cooking, budgeting, travel training, and personal care all tailored to their pace and preferences.

Staffing & Regulation

Yes. All staff are DBS-checked and receive extensive training in autism, learning disabilities, safeguarding, medication, PBS, and more.
Yes. Our adult services are regulated and inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), and our children’s homes are inspected by Ofsted.
Our Registered Manager, Julie Lemaire, oversees both adult and children’s services, supported by our Operations Director, Bridgette Phillips, and a wider team of care professionals.
